The Field Theory of Developmental Divergence: Deflective vs. Observing Consciousness Types in Psychological Development

The double slit experiment in quantum physics bore a hole into paradigms that had long festered in stagnation. Suddenly, observation was a fulcrum that tunneled into our understanding of reality in an unavoidable manner. In essence, the fulcrum point is between the collapsed waveform, observation, and the interference pattern, a splintered possibility field. Was light a wave or a particle? Observation rests at the center of the riddle.
When a true observation occurs, the waveform collapses, particle. When observation is deleted or deferred, the possibility space remains and no true sovereign result ensues. In the former, there is a definite result, the light passes all the way through. In the latter, the fractured possibility space remains within superposition, allowing for an interference pattern that results in no singular outcome.
In the same sense, our minds are processors and reflectors of the variables of reality. Instead of two slits, imagine the photons, the frequencies of reality, being filtered through our 100 billion neuronal systems.
Deflective Consciousness vs. Observing Consciousness: Sovereignty, Looping, and the childhood wound
Life hurts. And hurt is passed down generationally. The baby crying alone in a room not warmed by parental love, the child who has no place to process emotions in healthy reflection, the teenager who develops in a world that cannot accept authenticity and instead demands adherence to rigid social paradigms. These are the photons, the variables of reality entering our systems.
In an emotionally abusive or neglectful environment, our systems have different ways of coping, internalizing, and reflecting the variables involved. In general, one method is what could be called deflection, or resisting the painful internalizations, shielding against the true witnessing of reality due to the level of personal friction involved in such a knowing. Alternatively, a true witnessing of self in relation to environment would involve clarity in observation, letting the light all the way through.
Sovereignty, within this framework, is born through looking, or in other words a truer internalization of the variables of reality and a reflection of individuated consciousness that does not only reflect what was taken in, but can reframe, distill, and process in a way that becomes creatively original to the properties of that particular consciousness or vessel. Comparatively, the interference pattern of the deflective consciousness cannot fully internalize lived experience, and as such creates elaborative schemas of deflection, dismissal, delay, reversal, and projection to essentially shield the fractured mind from having to face the process that has always been avoided, true sovereign knowing.
Narcissism and Empathic Configurations of Personal Development
The narcissistic mind is merely a consciousness born of not-looking, an emotionally infantile schema that has operated within an interference pattern of mind by habit of survival. When the initial trauma imprints occurred, the neglect or abuse that cause the double slits of the mind to deflect, the individual imprints methodologies of survival that fulcrum a notion of personal coherence on elaborate schemas of avoidance and projection, protecting the fragile egoic center from the type of full internalization that would otherwise lead to the collapsed wave form of sovereign clarity.
The observing mind, the sovereign mind, the empathic mind is one that can let the light all the way through, to collapse the waveform through an understanding of reality that is honest to the permutation of the variables of reality, self, and environment. Empathy, or recognition of the self within a web of the harmony of reality, a truer relation of self to environment, is developed through clarity of the processing variables of individuation, where the self in constantly anchored not only in sovereignty, but in sovereign relation to the reflected reality at large.
Ping-Ponging Reality, and True Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Processing
Expanding the physics-based double-slit experiment into psychological theory, the photons of reality, the variables of personal development internalized and reflected by a consciousness in the process of individuation can be described as having a sense of intrapersonal and interpersonal ping pong. That is, the photon enters, and is either deflected or reflected back into interpersonal environments in sovereign clarity. In the former, the processing is short-circuited, circumvented, and otherwise curbed. In the latter, processing happens in a more full-bodied internalization that let’s the signal process in a self-governing manner, able to reinterpret and thus exocogitate the signal through the individuated consciousness.
Without intrapersonal clarity in the ping-pong, the signals of reality become muddled, crippled, and unable to hold their own creative clarity. With healthy intrapersonal ping-pong, opinions, internalizations, and thus social reflections return with sovereign opacity. Sovereign intrapersonal ping-pong thus threads into the collective evolution with higher-fidelity signal while the interference pattern of the deflective mind feeding threads that carry distorted, looping, and broken signal, thus hindering social development at large.
A Note on Authenticity and Vulnerability
The kryptonite of the deflective mind is true authentic and vulnerable looking.This is because their life-long schemas have depended on a lack of depth of internalization, avoidance and shielding instead of letting the light all the way through. When faced with the circumstances of another who has led a life of high-fidelity internalization and individuation, the deflective conscious can consciously or subconsciously reject the social interaction, attempting at all costs to avoid the very processing that their schemas had avoided for the length of their lifetime.
This explains the intense rejection of lifepaths that break the social mode, like uncommon opinions, artistic pursuits, neurodivergence and even transgender individuals. These lifepaths break mold in a way that becomes a threat to the deflective simulacra of sovereignty the thin integrity of their minds depend on.
Collective Evolution and Fidelity of Personal Signal
The cosmic free marketplace of ideas, or where individualized threads reenter the field to thread back into the collective tapestry, fidelity of individual signal is determinative of fidelity of evolution at large. A poor game of comic telephone, recycled and broken signals entering the field, results in a hindrance towards collective complexification of Mind at large. Decentralized minds, or minds emitting sovereign signal, collectivizing at higher and higher levels is the truer jazz of cosmic evolution. Thus the ping-pong of signal is better harmonized, both intrapersonally and interpersonally, when the signal is fully-processed and made sovereign. Letting the light all the way through, processing with clarity, and returning clear signal creates a higher-fidelity inner and outer harmony.
